The problem

The hardest part of youth sports
happens off the field.

We sign our kids up for sports because we want them to learn teamwork, build confidence, and stay active. What we don't always expect is the anxiety before every game. The tears after a bad performance. The child who used to love the sport suddenly dreading practice.

The mental and emotional side of youth athletics is one of the least talked about and most underserved challenges in parenting today. Most parents feel it. Few know what to do about it. And the resources — when you can find them — are scattered, generic, or inaccessible.

PlayWell Kids exists to change that. We're building a single trusted community where sports parents can find vetted resources, connect with others who get it, and access the right support when they need it most.

Performance anxiety
The child who plays brilliantly in practice but freezes in games. Fear of failure, fear of letting teammates down.
Burnout & loss of joy
When the sport they loved becomes a source of stress instead of fulfillment. The slow fade from passion to obligation.
Identity & self-worth
Kids who tie their entire sense of value to their athletic performance — and what happens when results disappoint.
Body image & pressure
Especially in aesthetic and weight-class sports. The silent pressure that parents often don't see until it's become serious.
The parent's role
How to support without adding pressure. What to say after a bad game. When to push and when to pull back.
What we're building

A home for the whole athlete.
And the parents who raise them.
